  • Software technology

    Hi,
This is my first post on this forum. I am a software developer working for the eye tracker manufacturer (ASL).

  • Gaze data

In this topic we discuss the gaze data values we need to access from ET system and ways to retrieve it.

As always, I recommend to study what gaze data values are available from the current systems. The description of it is in the file posted to "API type": PDF .

And the first suggestion is also here:

The '?' indicates that this value is allowed to be null.

  • Basic API interface

And here I start the long-awaited topic on the basic interface / set-of-functions that should be available for developers once a device is installed in a system.

Before we propose our own or comment already proposed (by Adrian) solutions, lets observe several existing APIs. If someone thinks I violate any rights or expose commercial secrets by publishing this document, let me know.

  • API Type

One of the first tasks in eye-tracking API specification is the specification of API type. Various technologies could be applied for API implementation, thus we need to find the best suitable. Lets first observe what API types were created by some manufacturers.
